QC Lab Technician

Scope of the position:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled QC Lab Technician to join our team. The QC Lab Technician is responsible for performing quality control lab functions under the supervision and guidance of the Quality Assurance Manager and as part of the Quality Control team. This is an entry level, first shift position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Microbiological testing to include Aerobic plate count, Yeast and Mold, coliform, E.coli, Enterobacteriaceae, Staphylococcus, Listeria, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Bacillus cereus (Al FDA BAM or AOAC approved methods)
• Analytical testing includes moisture, fat, pH, salt, titratable acidity, and water activity
• Serial dilutions / Serial enumerations
• Environmental swabbing/testing of production related areas
• Allergen testing
• Media preparation
• Maintenance of sanitary working environment
• Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment
• Promotion of Jeneil Biotech's food safety culture and adherence to food safety policies and training measures
• Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology preferred. Bachelor's degree in related science field may be considered (i.e., Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry with coursework in microbiology)
• This is an entry level position.

Scope of the position:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Production Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food manufacturing with a demonstrated ability to follow operating procedures, follow safety standards and work in a team environment. This position requires a strong understanding of various manufacturing processes and food safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure all GMP, HACCP, and production procedures are followed and documented for assigned work.
• Perform manual production tasks such as material handling and staging, batching, packaging, cleaning, and sanitizing as well as other tasks associated with natural dairy flavor manufacturing.
• Utilize a computer inventory control system.
• Efficiently perform assigned tasks and duties as assigned.
• Follow safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum requirements: High school diploma or equivalent + experience in the food industry
• Preferred requirements: 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment + experience working under regulatory systems
Skills & Competencies:
• Intermediate knowledge and understanding of food safety requirements including HACCP.
• Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Basic understanding of Safe Quality Food program.
• Detail oriented, responsible, self-motivated individual.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to manage frequent changes, unexpected delays, and respond professionally under pressure

Scope of the position:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Production Specialist to join our team. The Food Production Specialist is responsible for the continuing efficient operation of the fermentation and downstream equipment needed for food production. This includes preparation, sterilization, and cleaning. Perform minor maintenance and duties related to product testing, including sampling. The Food Production Specialist will be able to prioritize activities with assigned scope and responsibility and strictly adhere to safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for safely and effectively operating a production line or area of responsibility in a food manufacturing process.
• Ensures that the manufacturing process is following production specifications.
• Operation of equipment to include prep, clean, operate, as well as performing minor repairs.
• Report any equipment issues or damage to your immediate supervisor.
• Communicating effectively with team members to ensure operations are in compliance with GMP, HACCP and SOPs
• Maintaining accurate records of process and clean work environment in area of responsibility to avoid contamination and cross-contamination
• Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum requirements: High school diploma or equivalent + 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Preferred requirements: 1 year of experience in batching processes preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
• Intermediate knowledge and understanding of food safety requirements including HACCP.
• Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Basic understanding of Safe Quality Food program.
• Basic understanding of math and science
